The Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture Institute (IRCICA) of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), Awqaf SA, and UWC are hosting the 3rd International congress on “Islamic Civilisation in Southern Africa”. International and local scholars will share the platform as they dissect the multifaceted role that Islam has played, and continues to play in Africa. One of the discussions that will be featured at this weekend’s congress is “Post-Colonial Narratives of Development: The Case of Muslim Minorities in Africa”. It will be presented by the IRCICA’s Professor Sadik Unay. He, and Awqaf SA’s founder and CEO, Zeinoul Abedien Cajee visited our studios ahead of the congress.
