There has been deliberate Israeli assault on academia in Gaza. The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor says they have so far documented the killing of 94 Palestinian university professors, hundreds of teachers, and thousands of students in Israel’s genocidal war.

According to the group dozens of academic, scientific, and intellectual figures were specifically targeted without warning and with no clear justification or objective. It adds that most of the targeted individuals represented the pillars of academic work at Gaza’s universities.

Recently video emerged of the Israeli occupation military destroying the Israa University in Gaza City in a controlled demolition. The Zionist entity has attacked schools. Israel is fearful of an educated Palestinian population as it has proven its unbreakable resilience and ingenuity in the face of 75 years of occupation and a 17-year-old siege Gaza. This has been evident by among others the locally manufactured weaponry of the Palestinian resistance and tunnel network of the Palestinian resistance.
