As we observe International Women’s Day, we turn our focus to the women in media who have played an influential role in not just fighting for justice and the truth, but also the women who helped other women in the industry and elsewhere reach their potential and grow. One such woman was the late veteran journalist Karima Brown. She succumbed to Covid-19 complications last week. During her time in the media industry, she mentored and helped numerous youth and women uncover their truths and provided a sense of power and upliftment to many. To honour Karima and the other women who continue to assist others on International Women’s Day.
