The past week’s outrage from Western Cape Premier Alan Winde over a dissenting view on the impact of mRNA vaccinations for Covid-19 raises concern about blindly following the science.

The source of the premier’s ire is leading British consultant cardiologist, public health activist, and international best selling author, Dr Aseem Malhotra who has highlighted a litany of alarming details relating to the roll-out of vaccinations during the Covid-19 pandemic.

He has now been labelled an “anti-vaxxer”, despite being among the first people to receive the double Pfizer Covid-19 mRNA vaccine.

Malhotra’s suspicions were raised when his father died only months after being administered the Pfizer Covid-19 mRNA vaccine.

Premier Winde voiced outrage at the hosting of Malhotra by top politicians.

Recognized in the inaugural list of the top 50 BME Pioneers in the NHS Health Service Journal for his research on sugar rich diets and obesity and cardio-vascular disease and for his public health campaigns, including profit-making of big corporations at the expense of public health, unhealthy hospital meals and sale of junk food in hospitals, Malhotra’s fortunes dramatically changed when he began investigating and commenting on failings during the Covid-19 pandemic, particularly relating to the roll-out of vaccinations.

Radio 786’s NRA probed the topical and controverial issues with Dr Aseem Malhotra directly during his visit to South Africa.
