The Zondo Commission has been granted three months to complete its investigation into State Capture.

The North Gauteng High Court found that the Commission’s three-year-long investigation is in the public interest.

Judge Selby Baqwa says however, that the Commission’s work should come to a conclusion, and not extend into oblivion.

Baqwa’s decision has come less than an hour after the Constitutional Court announced that it would deliver its decision on whether former president Jacob Zuma was guilty of contempt for defying its orders that he appear before the commission and answer non-incriminating questions.

This means that Zuma could still be forced to appear at the Inquiry.
