Suspects in Church Robbery Nabbed

Police have arrested five suspects in connection with a robbery at a local church in Samora Machel.
The suspects aged between 27 and 39 now face charges for business robbery and the possession of stolen property. Some of the items that were stolen during the robbery were also recovered during the operation. 
The two armed men held up congregants at a local church and made off with the congregants’ belongings, and the church’s sound system.
The latest attack on religious institutions come as the Ulema Board reported a case of extortion after a madressa was targeted in Langa. However, in that instance, the madressa was forced to pay the extortionists as the police allegedly refused to open the case.
