South Africa has called for a comprehensive investigation into the mass graves that have been unearthed at the Nasser Medical Complex in Gaza following the presence of the Israeli occupation military.

The International Relations and Cooperation Department says there must be an immediate probe to ensure that there is justice and accountability for the victims and their families. According to the Palestinian Civil Defence its teams have found at least 324 bodies thus far. Some of those brutally murdered have been identified while others are still unknown.

The US backed Israeli war machine has turned Palestinian hospitals into graveyards. It’s part of its long list of war crimes against Gaza’s healthcare system and part of its genocidal aggression on the Palestinian people. Dirco notes that Israel unabatedly continues to disregard international law including the order of the International Court of Justice (ICJ). A reference to Pretoria’s genocide case against the settler colonial entity.

South Africa has called on the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to urgently lead a thorough and impartial investigation into the mass killing of Palestinian civilians as well as the attacks on them. It adds that those responsible for these crimes must be brought to justice by the ICC.
