SA set to import electricity from neighbours as Eskom crisis deepens

Eskom wants the national energy regulator, NERSA to give it the green-light to procure additional power from neighbouring countries. This forms part of government’s plan to reduce the impact of load shedding that has now been forced on citizens as the new norm. NERSA will be hosting public hearings starting Friday as the final part of the approval process.
