This week marks several key moments in the history of Palestine. We’ve seen the brutal Israeli attacks on Palestinians in Gaza and the display of Palestinian unity in the face of these atrocities. It also marks one year since journalist, Shireen Abu Akleh was murder by an Israeli sniper. And Monday marks the Nakba (Catastrophe), the day on which Palestinians were violently removed from their homeland by Zionist gangs.

It’s now 75 years since the Nakba, yet the Israeli aggression continues. How has South Africa shouldered its responsiblity in supporting the Palestinian cause?

Guest: Professor Farid Essack, anti-apartheid activist who has had strong links with the BDS movement in South Africa
