Ramaphosa votes, urges people to fulfill their duty

President Cyril Ramaphosa has cast his vote in Chiawelo in Soweto.

Addressing the media, Ramaphosa urged all South Africans to exercise their right to vote. The president says that as a country, it ought to be very proud of the progress of democracy and citizen’s role in improving it.

Ramphosa adds that citizens have a reason to complain, and that through voting they are raising their complaints or their support to people they believe would make a difference.

President Ramaphosa has also wished all contesting parties well for the elections.

Voters have been reminded that voting stations close at 9pm this evening.
