Government Could’ve Used A Passenger Plane To Collect Covid-19 Vaccines

SHARE

The SAA flight dispatched to collect the latest batch of Covid-19 vaccines will cost R 200 000 per hour – that’s about R 5 million. It’s no doubt that the South African Airways Pilots’ Association (Saapa) has lambasted the government for chartering this empty cargo plane. This cost excludes the payment of the staff on board, as well as accommodation for the staff in Belgium.

Guest: Saapa Chairperson, Grant Back.
