Six wounded in Nyanga Junction shooting

A lone gunman has shot and wounded six people in Nyanga Junction.

According to Manenberg police spokesperson Ian Bennett the man indiscriminately opened fire on commuters who were waiting for their transport this morning in Duinefontein Road. Many ran for cover into Nyanga Junction Mall.

Two women, aged 50 and 52 and four men between the ages of 35 and 58 were injured. They are being treated at the Heideveld emergency centre.

Cases of attempted murder are being investigated.
