Business Leadership SA (BLSA) may be crippled in addressing the allegations of corruption within its member organisations.

Open Secrets researcher, Zen Mathe says that institutions like the American management consulting company, Bain, Standard Bank, Nedbank, and PwC have all been implicated in the first State Capture report.

But as the managers of the South African-based institutions also sit on their board, it will be difficult to take stronger action against them.

This as Bain & Company has dropped its membership with BLSA after it was implicated in state capture at the South African Revenue Service.
