al-Jama-ah courts controversy over leadership capabilities

The City of Johannesburg is battling to find stability after seeing several mayors take up the position, only to be booted with a motion of no confidence.

The latest development with Johannesburg’s newly elected mayor Kabelo Gwamanda saw his academic record being questioned. It’s understood that Gwamanda’s highest level of education is Grade 10. However, he insists that his academic record doesn’t have any bearing on his ability to run the municipality.
