A 32-year-old Cape Town woman found guilty of human trafficking has been handed a 10-year suspended sentence. Camilla de Waal Rossouw had pleaded guilty to 11 charges.
They include kidnapping a minor, trafficking in person for sexual purposes and extortion amounting to more than R3 million. Rossouw and her co-accused were arrested in February 2017.
She is the tenth person to be sentenced in connection with a syndicate that ran a brothel in Milnerton, Table View, Big Bay, and Bellville.
