In a veiled threat, leader of the uMkhonto weSizwe Jacob Zuma has warned of trouble if the election results are announced.

It comes as the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) of South Africa received nearly 580 objections and has ordered 24 recounts, which they need to investigate.

Zuma has demanded that the IEC allow opposition parties – who he believes are a majority, the chance to present their information and evidence as to why they’re objecting to the results.

Zuma, along with more than 20 other opposition parties and organisations have called for a revote.
