Zulu royal family to receive R67.3 million from state funds

The royal Zulu household will receive R67.3 million for the 2022/23 financial year.

KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala tabled the budget vote earlier today, indicating that the funds would go the AmaZulu first family.

The funds are set to assist the king execute his duties.

This allocation comes at a time where the KwaZulu-Natal province has been hard hit by devastating infrastructural damages caused by last month’s flood disaster.
