Struggling South Africans are making more use of credit to stretch their finances to the end of the month.

Research conducted by Debt Rescue has found that people are cancelling their insurance policies, selling their cars, or even moving in with family to save money.

This information comes to light as the price of diesel has increased significantly.

The cost of gas is also eating into consumers’ pockets.

Debt Rescue’s New Business Manager Annaline van der Poel says that families have no other places to cut their spending.
