The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) will be recruiting more than 20 000 education assistants and general school assistants. The initiative is being implemented through the Department of Basic Education Employment Initiative (BEEI) and will run from December 1st to March 31st, 2021.
Education assists teachers with technical preparations for the classroom and ensures that all teaching materials are available and ready to use. General school assistants will assist in admin and data capturing. Candidates need to unemployed and not be older than 35 years old and the monthly stipend would be R3500 per month.
Candidates can apply through the following portals:
- Online on SA Youth. (https://sayouth.datafree.co/p/dbe) and cannot apply at schools, nor through the WCED.
