Vietnamese Man Sentenced To 5-Years In Prison For Infecting People With Covid-19

A Vietnamese man has been sentenced to five years in prison for deliberately spreading Covid-19.

Le Van Tri was also guilty of flouting Covid-19 regulations and fined 880 dollars. Of the people who Van Tri infected, at least eight had died.

According to reports, In July, the 28-year-old reportedly travelled by motorcycle from Ho Chi Minh City to his home province in Ca May.

Upon arrival, he was asked about his previous travel history and lied about being positive for the virus. He also failed to comply with the country’s isolation rules.
