South Africa’s director of rugby, Rassie Erasmus, is staying put.

This after rumours that he may be moving to Ireland after the Rugby World Cup. Ireland’s director of rugby will soon be vacant.

Erasmus is contracted to SA Rugby until 2025 while Springbok coach Jacques Nienaber will be joining Leinster after the World Cup.

Erasmus says that he has not been in talks with Ireland’s rugby union. Defending Rugby World Cup champions, the Springboks, face off with Ireland this Saturday.

The team expected to take on the Irish will be announced this evening.
