Living in a supposed democratic South Africa, it is baffling that racial exclusion still exists. Following the events that played out at Brackenfell High School, the sore topic of racism resurfaced this time among high school learners where a matric function was hosted but was only attended by white pupils. The events that played out after violent clashes between the EFF and residents told a trekking story to the ideology of the residents when confronted about issues of racism. How can society move away from racist ideologies and work together towards overall acceptance and inclusion?
