The Ramaphosa faction in the ANC says the President is going nowhere.
NEC member and MP, Dr Mathole Motshekga says any campaign to push the President to resign or to have him recalled will be quashed. He spoke to Radio 786 ahead of the party’s special NEC meeting, confirming that the parliamentary caucus would seek to defeat the adoption of the Section 89 report commissioned by Parliament.
The report found that the President may have a case to answer in regards to the theft of millions of foreign currency from his Limpopo game farm.
At the centre of the report is the alleged failure of the President to report the crime, the source of the money and whether exchange controls were violated when the money was not declared.
