Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan’s credibility has been brought into question at the Zondo Commission. Senior Associate at Ulrich Roux Attorneys, Casper Badenhorst was speaking following the Minister’s admission yesterday that he had no first-hand proof that former SARS boss Tom Moyane worked with, or conspired with the Hawks and the NPA even though he said this in a recorded telephone conversation.
Now further assessment of yesterday’s proceedings points to verbal sparring inspired by a long history of animosity. Political commentator, Khaya Sithole notes that this is evident from the manner in which questions were posed to the Public Enterprises Minister, and the way he had responded. But Sithole has highlighted that the evidence must be assessed.
