Asia for millennia has played a key role in human development and upliftment. A central element of civilisation, we owe it for some of the most basic yet significant inventions and profound concepts of thought.
But in the 20th and 21st centuries – helped by the mainstream press – the world has become a Western-dominated one. Culture, trade, politics are viewed through a Western lens. In recent decades however a steady, if somewhat silent shift has been taking place, one aimed at building Eurasia and the New Silk Road.
