There is relief for drivers whose licences have expired between March 26 2020 and August 31 2021.

Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula has announced the extension of the grace period for the renewal of driving license cards, temporary driving licenses and PDPs.

Pressure had been mounting on government to extend the grace period amid the major backlogs at license centres, as well as problems with the online system.
