The Israeli occupation forces have gunned down a reporter of the Qatari-based satellite news channel Al Jazeera.

Shireen Abu Akleh was reportedly shot in the face. Al Jazeera says their team was covering the Israeli storming of the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank. Another Palestinian journalist Ali Samoudi was also shot in the back. He is in a stable condition.

The Israeli occupation regime has long been trying to muzzle media voices especially those of Palestinians who expose their atrocities. During the attacks at the holy Al Aqsa mosque compound journalists were also targeted.
