A wage agreement has been reached between Eskom and three unions at the utility.

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM), National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa), and Solidarity agreed to a 7% salary increase for non-managerial employees over a three-year period.

The agreement comes in to effect as of July and will run until June 30, 2026.

The parties have also secured a 7% increase in the housing allowance over the same period, and a once-off taxable payment of R 10 000 for the first two years.
