Israeli military have abducted Palestinian journalist Naqqa Hamed in the West Bank. The mother of three was taken at an Apartheid checkpoint near Bethlehem.
Hamed, who works for Press TV and has on occasion spoken to Radio 786, was travelling with a camera crew when the occupation forces stopped and searched them. Hamed was abducted while the cameramen were released.
According to Press TV, there has been a coordinated campaign by certain social media accounts targeting her. The accounts have provocatively questioned why Hamed has not been arrested, citing her presence in so-called “Area B”, which is under Israeli occupation security control, and for her cooperation with Iran’s Press TV.
The targeting of Hamed is part of a broader Israeli campaign to silence journalists and media that expose its crimes against the Palestinian people.
