Convicted criminal, Thabo Bester is locked up in the Kgosi Mampuru Prison in Gauteng after being brought back to South Africa from Tanzania.

According to the National Commissioner of Correctional Services, Makgothi Thobakgale, Bester is in the maximum-security section, known as the C-Max. He indicates that Bester will be under 24/7 surveillance.

Bester’s partner and alleged accomplice Dr Nandipha Magudumana is expected to appear in a court in Bloemfontein in the Free State.
