Another province has been struck by severe flooding.

The Northern Cape’s region of Namaqualand has been lashed by heavy rains that has resulted in several people reported missing and key transport infrastructure damaged. Several roads, including the N7 highway and N8 have been closed.

According to the Nama Khoi municipal spokesperson, Jason Milford, they are considering declaring it a local state of emergency.

A few weeks back the Western Cape had to deal with flooding and  some towns cut off as a result while KwaZulu-Natal had to deal with both flooding and a tornado in parts of the province. The adverse weather has affected thousands.
