Feta Pie

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 packet(250g) smoked beef
  • 4-5 green onions (sliced)
  • ¾ cup grated mozzarella
  • ¾ cup grated cheddar/gouda
  • 2 wheels of feta cheese (crumbled)
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp mayo
  • 1 egg
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (cut into two halves)
METHOD

Pre heat oven to 180℃

Combine the mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, feta cheese and the green onions together.

Also combine the mustard and mayo together.

Grease a baking tray and lay 1 half of the puff pastry out in the center of the tray. Brush on the mayo and mustard mixture all over (leave a half centimetre space clean near the edge)

Then place down slices of the smoked beef on top of the sauce.

Then place the cheese mixture evenly over the smoked beef.

Brush the boarder of the pastry with the white of an egg,

Place the second half of the pastry it over, then use a fork to seal the edges.

Once the pie has formed, beat the yolk into the white and brush the entire top of the pastry with it. Also make two small incisions on top of the pie to allow steam to escape.

Then place in the oven for 15- 20 minutes or until golden brown, then serve and enjoy.
