Covid-19: Vaccines and Response to the 2nd wave

We are in 2021 under Level 3 of the national lockdown. South Africa has confirmed its position in gaining a vaccine, at the COVAX facility. In a briefing, yesterday Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said that he hopes South Africa will receive a vaccine in February.

Now the Western Cape in a digicon last week unveiled its ‘proactive strategy’ to access Covid-19 vaccines that has been approved by South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA).

On the Agenda spoke to the head of the Health Department in the Western Cape Dr Keith Cloete.
