The renewal coalition set up following the 2017 African National Congress (ANC) elective conference must be interrogated to determine if it has made any progress.

This is one of the calls from the party’s Western Cape members as they participate in this weekend’s elective conference.

Spokesperson, Sifiso Mtsweni, says that the party needs to be progressive.

The poor performance of coalition governments is also a cause for concern.

Many communities have become the victims of political maneuvering.

Mtsweni says that this year’s conference must come up with a detailed and constructive plan to ensure that coalition governments do not collapse.

They are also concerned about the divides that exist within the ANC.
