As of next Thursday, South Africans who are 50-years-old and over and want the Covid-19 vaccine will be able to join the queue.

The acting Health Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane says this group will be allowed to register and start receiving their vaccine shot in mid-July.

Meanwhile she has expressed concern about the decline in the number of people who are over 60 getting the jab. She says there is significant Covid-19 vaccine hesitancy among this group.
