5 shot & killed in Cape Town on Saturday night

Three people have been gunned down in Khayelitsha last night.

The men aged 34,36 and 50 were shot and killed on the corners of Nyebelele and Ntango Streets in Site C.

The circumstance around the triple murder is still unclear. No arrests have yet been made.

This triple murder comes less than two weeks after police Minister Bheki Cele held a community engagement in the area, to address policing and community safety issues.

In an unrelated incident

Two men have been shot and killed in Tutu Avenue in Makhaza last night.

The victims were driving in a blue Hyundai sedan when occupants of a white VW Polo opened fire on them and fled the scene.

Police are suspecting that that the shooting could be linked to a drug trade in the area.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
