The true purpose of the anti-apartheid struggle has been lost in just under 30 years.

This is the sentiment of three youth activists of the time.

They formed part of what later became known as the Wynberg 7 when they were tried and incarcerated – while being under age – for demonstrating against the injustices of the time.

One of them, Julian Stubbs, has told Radio 786, that only the surface freedoms like that of movement, education, and association, have been achieved.

But the economic struggle has been made worse by the ANC-led government in less than three decades.
