The ANC announced that there is no need for the party’s politicians implicated in the State Capture Report to step aside now.

Speaking during the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Monday, ANC spokesperson Pule Mabe says politicians will only be required to step aside until a competent body is established that will deal with the final outcomes of the commission’s report .

This, as the Acting Chief Justice Raymond Zondo’s report made damning findings against some top senior ANC officials, including party chairperson Gwede Mantashe.

At the moment, we welcome moves by people such as the national chairperson Gwede Mantashe who has indicated that he was taking the report for a judicial review. These members are exercising their rights. We will not deal with the merits and demerits of their cases as they are sub judice,” said Mabe.
