A Muslim radio station is not just about broadcasting sermons and Quranic recitals – use holistic teachings Islam, uplift communities and shape the difference. 

This inspired the ethos of Radio 786 to inform, educate, uplift.

“…We were always very transparent. We were always very open for criticism. We wanted to learn, we wanted to make this the best community radio station. And in order to fulfil that need or that want, almost – is that you have to listen. So, I think that is why people identify very easily with me and also because I started from the ground up…”

Rushni Allie, former secretary to the station manager, former station manager and now, Brand and Communications manager speaks of her fond memories when it felt as if the odds were stacked against Radio 786 during its licence application process.
