SA Must Protect Farm Workers With UNDROP Resolution

SHARE

Government has been called on to protect the rights of small scale farmers. The South African Rural Women’s Assembly has resolved that the state must effectively implement the UN Declaration on the Rights of Peasants and Other People Working in Rural Areas or UNDROP. South Africa is said to be one of the first signatories to this resolution. It comes as the farmworkers are still violated and abused in the country.
