South African medical doctor, Lauren Dickason has been found guilty of three counts of murder in New Zealand.

She was on trial for the murder of her two-year-old twins – Karla and Maya, and her six-year-old daughter, Liane in 2021.

Dickason’s husband had found his children’s’ lifeless bodies in their beds upon returning home from work. Since the ordeal, he has returned to South Africa from New Zealand.

Prosecutors argued that depression had led Dr Dickason to snap over the children’s misbehaviour. She faces a life sentence for each child.
