Ramaphosa should be embarrassed – Saftu

South Africa is marching to a dysfunctional state with the governing ANC’s deep factionalism largely contributing to the situation. This is the view of the South African Federation of Trade Unions (Saftu’s) General Secretary Zwelinzima Vavi who notes that President Cyril Ramaphosa should be embarrassed by the state of affairs.

He however hopes the State of the Nation Address this evening will not be a repetition of the same rituals related to unemployment. He notes that people, especially South Africa’s large unemployed youth population are desperate adding that this was evident in the deadly July unrest that rocked KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.
