Radio 786 has won the coveted PMR Diamond Arrow award. It is testament to the value of the broadcaster’s brand, as recognized by the business profession.

Diamond is the highest rated award. The result celebrates Muslim owned institutions doing most in their sectors over the past 12 months to stimulate the economic growth and development of South Africa.

Radio 786 Station Manager, Tashreeq Truebody says they are particularly proud of the award which come at a time when the broadcaster was celebrating its 25th birthday with a new and dynamic brand identity. The station was launched a refreshed on-air product with a new sound and feel.

PMR acknowledges contributions and initiatives, strategies, effort and hard work of brands. The consultancy and research company says the award underscores the value of a company’s vision, integrity, values, competence and ‘empathy’ that contributes to ethical and sustainable business practices.

The award handed on Thursday, 8 october, once more demonstrates that Radio 786 is a leading broadcaster. The award is the product of a random sample of 180 respondents comprising of CEO’s, MD’s, business owners, company directors and managers. Senior community leaders representing the Muslim community had also participated.

Old Mutual and Oasis financial services are previous recipients of the award in their respective fields.
