CAPE TOWN – Collaboration is key to dealing with the rise in crime in South Africa. Acting Police Minister, Firoz Cachalia has visited several communities gripped by the impact of gang violence.
He says that he is getting a better understanding of the needs of each community and will then decide what the best course of action will be to address them. He was speaking as gang violence and mass shootings have gripped communities over the past weeks on the Cape Flats, with residents losing faith in the police service.
