Parliament’s fire avoidable if security worked – NEHAWU

With Parliament’s entire precinct severely damaged following Sunday’s fire, the National Education, Health and Allied Workers Union (Nehawu) expressed concern over the sensitive information that was destroyed in the blaze. According to Nehawu, Parliament’s night shift staff were told that they can’t work because there aren’t funds to pay them. Could the fire have been prevented if workers were actually on duty?
