Newly elected ANC Western Cape Chairperson Vuyiso JJ Tyhalisisu has vowed to fight factionalism within the party.

Tyhalisisu was on the “Rural for Change” slate which wanted the Western Cape to have leaders from the rural parts of the province. Previously, leaders came from Cape Town’s metropolitan area.

He was elected at the provincial conference held on 23 – 25 June at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
