The Mowbray Cemetery has been temporarily closed until further notice following a severe underground pipe burst near the middle of the premises. The pipe burst resulted in substantial damage to the property, uprooting of some 15 trees and pathways. Some headstones and graves were also damaged during the pipe burst. Trees continue to lean over with the potential of collapse. The cemetery will, however, accommodate janazahs under strict Covid-19 protocols.
