With less than two days before the new month – when the much anticipated fuel price hike is expected to come into effect, Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana  and Energy Minister Gwede Mantashe are yet to announce the new fuel prices.

The price for a litre of petrol is expected to increase by R3.81 a litre this Wednesday.

In addition to the potential increase, the general fuel levy of R1.50 would be added taking the cost to about R25 a litre.

Motorists are now left in the dark on how to adjust their fuel budgets for June.
