Former Health Minister Zweli Mkhize has filed a supplementary affidavit to have the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) report reviewed and set aside.

Mkhize faces allegations of pressurizing department officials to award a controversial R150-million tender to Digital Vibes.

The company is owned by his alleged associates and family. Last June, the SIU made damning findings against the former minister.

The former minister in turn accused the SIU of leaving out important evidence and claims that the unit ignored evidence that the former Director-General of Health played a significant role in awarding the controversial tender.
