Missed deadline and the consequences of the late applications

According to the MEC for Education, David Maynier the Western Cape Education Department received a record 102,680 applications for Grade 1 and 8 learners for the 2025 academic year.

The deadline was extended to the 12th of May 2024 and any applications after the deadline will be considered late.
